There’s a podcast for you!!! Pointlesss Talks is the first Queeribbean podcast, created and broadcasted internationally, from The United States, voiced by many cultures, and aspects of the rainbow, as they appear on the show.
A podcast by two Jamaican women, that identify as members of the LGBTQ+ Community. This podcast is for every West Indian who is very in touch with their roots, and also identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. This is a safe space; filled with laughs, feelings, stories, profanity, drinking, and some very gay friendly and Caribbean topics. A podcast for people, like ourselves, who are very in touch with both, and want to feel whole…instead of having to choose which one they want to be, at any space in time.
The Pointlesss Talks Podcast was created to fill a void, and remove the separation of culture and identity/sexuality, that so many West Indians, and people from other nations, have struggled with, as they journey through their LGBTQ+ life.
As someone who loves podcasts, I (Pointlesss) searched for one that fully encompassed who I am, and the things I am passionate about, on all fronts. There are podcasts I would listen to that covered being a woman, daily life, sex, music, drinking, migrating from one country to America, culture, LGBT+, etc… But they were all from different shows, with a very important, underlying, message; mental health and self love are most important. The search was longggg , and nothing I typed, brought me a podcast for the two proudest parts of me, outside of what you can see, which is being LGBT+ and West Indian…and so Pointlesss decided to Talk.
When I officially decided to do this, I had to decide if I would do it alone or not, as my Jamaican ancestors were yelling “YUH MAD?!? who yah go chat to?” ever so loudly, at the idea of me just sitting in a room talking, essentially, to myself. After a very brief moment, I concluded that this could be the show all our Tumblr friends have been waiting for, and rounded up DemSuga (Twin), as she is also equally proud of being Jamaican and LGBTQ+, made some drinks, and pressed “record”.
We hope you enjoy the show, and whether you got here on purpose, or by fate, thank you for tuning in to the Pointlesss Talks podcast.
